Bollinger Houma

Bollinger Houma Shipyards is home to U.S. Navy’s Towing, Salvage and Rescue Ship (T-ATS) new construction program along with building the Regional Class Research Vessels for the National Science Foundation and Oregon State University. Bollinger Houma Shipyards specializes in new construction of a variety of ocean and inland rated vessels including key defense and commercial vessels, new generation “Ocean Class” Tugs, OPA’90 Tank Barges, large complex Liftboats, Platform Supply Vessels, Multi-Purpose Support Vessels, and other Oil & Gas support vessels.

Located in Houma, Louisiana, the 437-acre fabrication facility is on the westbank of the Houma Navigation Canal, just 30 miles from the Gulf of Mexico. The strategic location provides short and unrestricted access to the Houma facility from open waters.

Facilities

The Bollinger Houma facility encompasses 437 acres on the west bank of the Houma Navigation Canal. The facility includes:

» 18,000 square feet of administrative and operations facilities
» 160,000 square feet of covered fabrication facilities
» 20,000 square feet of warehouse facilities
» 6,750 linear feet of water frontage, including 2,350 feet of steel bulkheads
» Drydock 1 – 12,500 short ton lifting capacity, measuring 400ft x 160ft with 140ft between wing walls
