Full-Service Machine Shop

Bollinger Shipyards’ Machine Shops are full-service machining facilities with line boring capabilities.

They are equipped with computer-controlled technology in the manufacture, repair, and reconditioning of propeller shafts, stern tubes, bow and stern thrusters, chemical pumps, rudders and other underwater gear. Bollinger has 18 ABS-approved welding procedures used in the manufacturing and repair of shafts.

Bollinger Algiers machine shop is a full-service machine shop conveniently located on the Mississippi River across from downtown New Orleans at historic Algiers Point. The shop offers full-service machining capabilities with 24/7/365 repair services for emergency repair needs. The facility has direct access to the Mississippi River with loading and offloading capabilities.

Bollinger Lockport Repair’s machine shop has 18,000 sq. ft. of shop space with ample overhead crane capacity for working both routine and specialty machining projects. We are ABS certified for base metal repair, and USCG approved for k-500 Monel shafting.

Bollinger Morgan City offers an on-site full-service machine shop, stockroom, and warehouse storage area of 36,000 square feet, fully stocked to satisfy many customer needs.

Bollinger Quick Repair’s machine shop covers over 32,000 sq. ft. and is among the largest and best-equipped machine shops in the nation. It features lathes swinging 32″ over the carriage, 52′ between centers, and vertical and horizontal boring mills with capacities up to 18’2″ in diameter.
