LOCKPORT, La., Bollinger Shipyards announces the promotion of Chris Remont to Executive Vice President of New Construction Programs.Within this role, Mr. Remont will assume responsibility of overseeing all commercial and government new construction programs for the Company.
The announcement was made by Ben Bordelon, Bollinger Shipyards President and CEO, who stated that “Chris’ proven leadership and extensive, diverse shipbuilding and manufacturing experience will guide our new construction group’s engineering, business development, bids/proposal, supply chain and program management teams to the next level.Also, Chris has been a key contributor to Bollinger’s success and I feel his new role combined with his continuous pursuit of excellence situates our Company well in meeting the ever changing industry demands and challenges in continuing our success in the future.”
Since joining the Bollinger Team in 2014, Mr. Remont held the positions of Director and Vice President of Program Management in addition to the Vice President and General Manager of Bollinger Lockport’s new construction facility in which he was responsible for all facets of construction, including planning, scheduling, engineering, material control, quality, HSE, and production.
Mr. Remont has over 25 years of shipyard and manufacturing experience and holds a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from Louisiana Tech University and a Masters of Business Administration from Nicholls State University.
