Bollinger Shipyards is seeking an experienced Naval Architect to join its team.

A Naval Architect develops designs of marine craft and floating structures, such as ships, barges, tugs, etc. and performs calculations necessary to assist in the design and fabrication of such vessels.

The ideal candidate must possess a B.S. degree in Naval Architecture or Marine Engineering with knowledge in vessel design development, structural design, and auxiliary systems design for marine crafts such as patrol vessels, offshore supply vessels, tugs, and barges. Excellent communication and leadership skills are a must in addition to familiarity with ABS, CFR, USCG, SOLAS, IMO and other applicable regulations. Experience with AutoCAD, FEA, GHS, Rhino software is a plus. The ability to multitask and work within a fast-paced environment is imperative.

Bollinger Shipyards is seeking an experience Technical Writer to join our team.

A Technical Writer develops, writes, and edits material for reports, manuals, briefs, proposals, instruction books, catalogs, and related technical and administrative publications in print or electronic media. A minimum of 2 years of technical writing experience is required. A B.S. degree in English or Technical Writing is preferred and experience in Arbortext Editor, Adobe Frame Maker, or MS Office software is a plus. Candidate must be able to review and comprehend Engineering drawings and have a general knowledge of watercraft vessels and their installed components.
