HANDS-ON LEARNING

The Bollinger Shipyard’s Summer Internship Program is designed to provide students with real-world, hands-on experience in their field of study. Throughout the summer, interns have the opportunity to work on impactful projects that align with the company’s business goals, gaining valuable insights into the industry and potential career paths. The program emphasizes learning through mentorship and guidance from experienced professionals, allowing interns to develop both technical and interpersonal skills. Through training, collaboration, and meaningful work, participants are better prepared for their future careers.

WORKSHOPS AND TRAININGS

Interns will have access to workshops and training sessions aimed at developing technical skills, such as software proficiency or process optimization, as well as soft skills like communication and teamwork. They will also receive training on the programs and tools used daily by their department, ensuring they are equipped to contribute effectively to team members.

FINAL PRESENTATION

At the end of the internship, interns will present their contributions and experiences to their department, providing an opportunity to showcase their work, highlight key accomplishments, and reflect on their learning and professional growth. In addition, interns will complete a final project determined by their department. This project may take various forms depending on departmental needs and functions, such as a presentation, analysis, process overview, case study, improvement proposal, or other meaningful deliverable. The final project should demonstrate the intern’s understanding of the department’s operations, key objectives, and cross-functional collaboration, while highlighting how their work contributed to broader organizational goals.
