Scholarships

Bollinger Shipyards offers scholarship programs for eligible full time employees and their dependents. Bollinger Shipyards active full time employee’s children, grandchildren, and step children are eligible to apply for the following high school graduate scholarships. Updated scholarship applications, eligibility requirements and additional information pertaining to the scholarships can be obtained from the website or at your local Human Resources Department in February of each year. Bollinger Scholarship

Bollinger awards a $4000.00 scholarship to graduating high school senior child, step-child or grandchild of an active full time employee. The scholarship will be distributed at $500 a semester and will be awarded to a qualifying candidate planning to attend a two or four year college or university of their choice.  The number of scholarships awarded each year vary.

Bollinger Community & Technical Scholarship

Bollinger awards a $1000.00 scholarship to graduating high school senior child, step-child or grandchild of an active full time employee. The scholarship will be distributed at $250 a semester and will be awarded to a qualifying candidate planning to attend a two year community or technical college of their choice.  The number of scholarships awarded each year vary.

South Central Industrial Association (SCIA)

Applicants eligible to apply for SCIA scholarships must be a resident from Lafourche, Terrebonne or St. Mary Parish. Both merit-based scholarships and needs-based scholarships will be awarded to qualifying seniors attending an accredited Louisiana two or four year college program. Merit-based scholarships and needs-based scholarships may require candidates to meet GPA, ACT, and full-time student status requirements to apply for and maintain throughout the award period.  To learn more about the requirements, visit South Central Industrial Association’s website.  Children of Bollinger employees who reside in the abovementioned parishes qualify for these scholarships due to company membership in SCIA.

Fourchon Oilman Association Scholarship (FOA)

Applicants eligible to apply for FOA scholarships must be a graduating senior and must attend Central Lafourche High School, Covenant Christian Academy, E.D. White Catholic High School, Ellender Memorial High School, Grand Isle High School, H.L. Bourgeois High School, Houma Christian School, South Lafourche High School, South Terrebonne High School, Terrebonne High School, Thibodaux High School or Vandebilt Catholic High School. The scholarship(s) will be awarded to qualifying seniors attending an accredited Louisiana two or four year college program. Scholarship candidates may be required to meet GPA, ACT, and full-time student status requirements to apply for and maintain throughout the award period.  To learn more about the requirements, visit Fourchon Oilman Association’s website.  Children of Bollinger employees who are seniors from the abovementioned schools qualify for these scholarships due to company membership in FOA.

Bayou Industrial Group (BIG)

Applicants eligible to apply for this scholarship must be a qualifying senior from Terrebonne, Lafourche, St. Mary or Assumption Parish planning to attend Nicholls State University or Fletcher Technical Community College. Scholarship candidates may be required to meet GPA, ACT, and full-time student status requirements to apply for and maintain throughout the award period.  To learn more about the requirements, visit Bayou Industrial Group’s website.  Children of Bollinger employees who are seniors from the abovementioned parishes qualify for these scholarships due to company membership in BIG.
