POSITION OVERVIEW
We are seeking a dedicated Staff Accountant with at least 1 year of accounting or comparable experience or a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or an associated field. The candidate will complement our accounting department in applying principles of accounting to maintaining financial records, preparing reports, supporting audits, and contributing to budgeting and cost analysis. This position is ideal for someone with a strong foundation in accounting principles and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
REQUIREMENTS
- Minimum of 1 year of accounting or comparable experience or a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or an associated field
- Experience in GL functions, balance sheet & income statement preparation, tracking of fixed assets and project costing are a plus
- Oracle experience is a plus
SKILLS
- Good communication skills, including written and oral communication
- Experienced in utilizing MS Office applications, specifically MS Excel
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Complies and analyzes financial information to prepare entries to accounts, such as general ledger accounts, documenting business transactions
- Analyzes financial information detailing assets, liabilities, and capital
- Support Accounts Payable through check processing and validating coding
- Manage property tax compliance and supporting schedules
- Assist with budgeting and forecasting processes
- Obtains information for cash management purposes and reports daily cash balances to Management
- Compiles and reconciles information relating to long-term capital assets
- Other duties requested by Management
