Quality Manager

A Quality Manager is responsible for the complete oversite of a construction project’s quality functions.  This includes managing, monitoring, administering and maintaining the quality assurance, control and project testing programs to ensure compliance with both internal and external standards.  Will research, develop, and write program materials to support the project’s objectives in addition to identifying and implementing corrective action in addressing product or service quality and monitoring effectiveness of solutions.  Regularly meets and communicates with project vendors, customers, and company personnel regarding quality functions.  Will also be responsible for leading the project’s quality team in ensuring prescribed project activities are carried out in accordance with specified objectives.

 

The ideal candidate must have eight (8) years combined experience in quality management, project management, project engineering, or construction management in addition to two (2) years of experience in quality systems management.  Must be familiar with quality control & assurance principles in addition to USCG, ABS, SOLAS, and other regulatory requirements.  Must have advanced blueprint reading skills, ability to supervise and ability to read and interpret standards, codes and specifications.  Basic computer skills using MS Office applications and good communication skills, including written and oral communication, are required.  Experience in welding and/or NDT is preferred.
