POSITION OVERVIEW 

We are seeking a dedicated Naval Architect Intern that is currently a junior or senior enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program in Naval Architecture, Ocean Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or Aerospace Engineering. This opportunity is ideal for students pursuing a degree in Naval Architecture, Ocean Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or Aerospace Engineering who are eager to apply their academic knowledge in a professional, real-world environment.

REQUIREMENTS 

  • Currently a junior or senior enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program in Naval Architecture, Ocean Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or Aerospace Engineering
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship

SKILLS 

  • Basic proficiency in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Experience with AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar engineering software is a plus
  • Strong interpersonal skills, a proactive attitude, and a willingness to learn in a fast-paced environment

RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • Assist the Engineering department by conducting research and preparing technical documentation
  • Perform general office tasks with high attention to detail, including organizing reports and maintaining engineering records
  • Perform structural calculations and weight take-offs, assist in the development of 2D drawings and 3D modeling, as well as create and analyze models using GHS (General Hydrostatics software
  • Participate in incline experiments and deadweight surveys
  • Collaborate effectively with engineers, designers, and other personnel to support various projects
