POSITION OVERVIEW
We are seeking a dedicated Mechanical Engineering Intern that is currently a junior or senior enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program in Mechanical Engineering, Naval Architecture, or Ocean Engineering. This opportunity is ideal for students pursuing a degree in Mechanical Engineering, Naval Architecture, or Ocean Engineering who are eager to apply their academic knowledge in a professional, real-world environment.
REQUIREMENTS
- Currently a junior or senior enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program in Mechanical Engineering, Naval Architecture, or Ocean Engineering
- Must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship
SKILLS
- Basic proficiency in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Experience with AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar engineering software is a plus
- Strong interpersonal skills, a proactive attitude, and a willingness to learn in a fast-paced environment
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist the Engineering department by conducting research and preparing technical documentation
- Perform general office tasks with high attention to detail, including organizing reports and maintaining engineering records
- Develop and review system diagrams to ensure compliance with vessel specifications and regulatory standards
- Conduct basic engineering calculations for system performance and regulatory compliance
- Collaborate effectively with engineers, designers, and other personnel to support various projects
