POSITION OVERVIEW 

We are seeking a dedicated Material Handler with preferably at least 2 years of material handling or continuous Company experience is a similar position. The candidate will conduct activities relating to the movement of primarily raw materials.

REQUIREMENTS 

  • Minimum of 2 years of material handling or continuous Company experience is a similar position preferred

SKILLS 

  • Knowledge of materials used in the construction/repair vessels
  • Good reading skills
  • Basic knowledge of computer software, i.e., Windows Navigation
  • Good communication skills, including written and oral communication
  • Able to work well with others

RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • Determines appropriate storage location of materials upon arrival
  • Moves necessary resources, i.e., personnel, equipment, to offload materials
  • Moves excess materials from job site to inventory storage
  • Performs and reconciles physical inventories
  • Ensures the daily maintenance of all equipment by material handlers and report any problems to the maintenance department
  • Ensures compliance with related Quality procedures
