POSITION OVERVIEW
We are seeking a dedicated IT Intern to support Help Desk that is currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. The candidate will provide frontline technical support to end users while gaining hands-on experience with structured service delivery and customer support best practices.
REQUIREMENTS
- Must be currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
- High school diploma or GED required
- Must be at least 18 years of age
SKILLS
- Basic understanding of IT concepts, such as programming languages, database management, and cybersecurity
- Basic typing skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to interact professionally with company personnel
- Adaptable to new technologies and new situations
- Detail-oriented and able to prioritize and manage your workload effectively
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong desire to learn and improve your skills
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist users with basic IT issues via tickets, phone, or in person
- Support account setup, password resets, and software installations
- Update and maintain IT knowledge base articles and FAQs
- Help track and report on service desk metrics
- Escalate issues appropriately following IT service workflows
- Set up and deploy new workstations, laptops, and other IT equipment
- Support IT asset lifecycle management by tagging, tracking, and maintaining inventory records
