POSITION OVERVIEW
We are seeking a dedicated Data Administrator with at least 1 year of shipbuilding experience with recent focus on change, data management, document control and process development. The candidate will initiate and perform various administrative duties in support of engineering projects.
REQUIREMENTS
- Minimum of 1 year of shipbuilding experience with recent focus on change, data management, document control and process development
- Shipbuilding experience is a plus
- Basic AutoCAD skills are desired
SKILLS
- Knowledge of general engineering administration and development practices
- Able to gather, organize, collate, and distribute large amounts of data to support managing projects
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Knowledge of Ships Work Breakdown Structure (SWBS)
- Knowledge of database administration and maintenance (Microsoft Access, SQL Server, or Oracle)
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Work with Engineering by organizing and tracking formal deliverables and VFI for all projects
- Responsible for all job administration and coordination for a project and manages all correspondence and data assigned by the Project Engineer
- Maintain and track Program Change Documentation (i.e. ECPs, ECRs, TPs, TIs, PTS/SOWs, RFPs, RFVs, GFI/GFIDs)
- Process, assemble, and track drawing issues, drawing correspondence, drawing comments, deliverable status report, regulatory and class correspondence (including comments), and job-related transmittals
- Support of CDRL management, submissions, tracking, and reporting if required
- Provide support to project teams by providing administrative checks and balances to ensure adherence to engineering procedures
- Assemble and maintain project files within SharePoint
- Perform data management via IDE site by uploading and downloading data for review and approvals
- Regulatory body point of contact for postings and retrieval of information necessary for the class approval of each assigned project
- Maintain KMS to reflect open and closed liens and required reports in support of weekly status meetings
