POSITION OVERVIEW
We are seeking a dedicated Carbon Steel Pipe Fitter with at least 6 months of carbon pipe fitting experience. The candidate will perform layout, fabrication, installation, testing, and repair of pipe systems. The ideal candidate must have a minimum of 6 months of carbon pipe fitting experience and the ability to successfully demonstrate proficiency in various hands-on pipe fitting tasks.
REQUIREMENTS
- Minimum of 6 months of carbon pipe fitting experience
- Pass a hands-on pipe fitter test by
- Applying a bevel using grinder with a sanding disc
- Cutting the opposing end of a pipe to saddle a pipe of the same size at a 90-degree angle
- Performing silver brazing of a socket joint pipe in the horizontal (flat and horizontal flow) and vertical (vertical up flow) positions by ASME requirements
SKILLS
- Strong understanding of pipe fitting techniques and best practices
- Proficiency in using tools and equipment related to pipe fitting
- Knowledge of ASME requirements for pipe fitting
- Attention to detail and ability to perform precise work
- Good problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Perform layout, fabrication, installation, testing, and repair of pipe systems
