Project Coordinator
Location: Harvey, LA
Position Overview: The Project Coordinator aids in providing job costs and billing amounts to customers and evaluates the scope of work to be performed on projects. Responsibilities include evaluating the scope of work, communicating needed repairs with both internal and external customers, aiding in the estimation of quotes, and surveying projects and proposals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate the scope of work to be performed on projects.
- Communicate needed repairs with internal and external customers.
- Aid in the estimation of quotes, survey projects, and proposals.
- Provide job costs and billing amounts to customers.
- Coordinate with customers, managers, outside representatives, and subcontractors.
- Ensure projects are completed within scope, budget, and timeline.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of two (2) years of experience performing project coordination functions within an industrial setting.
- Basic computer experience utilizing MS Office applications (Word and Excel).
- Ability to communicate effectively with customers, managers, outside representatives, and subcontractors.
- Basic blueprint reading skills.
- Shipyard experience and/or familiarity with USCG and ABS rules/regulations are a plus.
Skills:
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Proficiency in MS Office applications (Word and Excel).
- Basic understanding of blueprint reading.
- Ability to work well with internal and external stakeholders.
- Knowledge of project coordination best practices.
- Attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
