Responsible for managing all purchasing, buying, and material control functions for the New Construction divisions for both government and commercial programs in order to ensure activities are carried out in accordance with specified divisional objectives. Responsibilities also include establishing and implementing New Construction purchasing, buying, material and inventory control policies and procedures in addition to representing the Company in negotiating contracts and formulating policies with suppliers, as directed.
The candidate should have eight (8) years of purchasing and supply chain experience in a senior, supervisory, and/or managerial level in addition a minimum of three (3) years of direct procurement experience that encompassed direct pricing proposals and awards, vendor negotiations and purchase order issuance and management.
Must have directly applicable experience in resource planning and scheduling with superior problem-solving skills and the ability to minimize cost and delay within material. Excellent communication skills (written and oral communication), experience using SAP or other automated purchasing/material management software including proficiency in using MS Office applications are required. Oracle experience is preferred.
