Data Manager (Hybrid Schedule Available)

Basic Function:

A Data Manager is responsible for controlling, organizing, analyzing, and tracking program data including submitting commercial and government program deliverables to ensure they comply with contractual requirements. Responsibilities also include developing data management processes and procedures in addition to being the data management lead overseeing proper file structure, naming conventions, and data audits.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Data management lead overseeing all program data including file structure, naming convention, and data audits.
  • Develops, implements, and maintains data management processes and procedures.
  • Develops professional working relationship with USCG for deliverable submissions.
  • Manages program deliverables by informing team members of items needed and deadlines in addition to analyzing data to ensure complies with contract requirements.
  • Trains program team members on data management processes and procedures.
  • Develops schedules for CDRL deliveries.
  • Uploads data to the USCG / US Navy IDE as appropriate.
  • VFI/GFI data management.
  • Manages data for CCB and ERB reviews.
  • Tracks data management hardware and software performance and remedies as needed.
  • Works with program team members to resolve data management discrepancies.
  • Develops and designs templates/standards for technical documents, correspondence, etc. for program teams.
  • Updates program databases.
  • Conducts research and compiles and types of statistical reports (metrics).
  • Organizes and maintains file system, files correspondence and other records.

 

  • Requirements:
  • Must have a minimum of three (3) years performing data management / document control or similar functions within a business development capacity.
  • Good customer communication skills, including written and oral communication.
  • Strong knowledge of data or database management.
  • Knowledge of basic computer software, i.e., Excel, Word, SharePoint etc.
