Configuration Status Accountant (CSA) Coordinator (Remote Hybrid Opportunities Available)

Responsibilities include recording and reporting the configuration data to ensure that information needed to manage each configuration item during all life cycle phases are properly captured in addition to analyzing and understanding functional data requirements supplied by customers. Must be able to ensure program compliance to CDM requirements for baseline control, document control and document release. Candidates need to have knowledge of how to break down equipment to the lowest repairable unit while utilizing Expanded Ship Work Breakdown Structures (ESWBS) to assign Hierarchical Structure Codes (HSC). Will review engineering and purchasing data in order to establish and maintain a configuration item (CI) listing of equipment on a hull by hull basis. The candidate will support and process program design manufacturing and change management product information using an internal database as well as other tools. Will also analyze and review all released engineering drawings and change data to coordinate changes with the ILS department. The CSA Coordinator will also attend Configuration Control Board (CCB) meetings and will ensure that customer changes are implemented and reviewed for change accounting activity to ensure compliance with configuration policies.

The ideal candidate must have a minimum of one (1) year of experience in logistics support for shipbuilding or related field in addition to having strong analytical, critical thinking, communication and organization skills. Must be proficient in using MS Office applications (i.e. MS Word, MS Excel, and MS PowerPoint) and able to work in a fast paced environment.  Candidate must also be knowledgeable in expanded Ships Work Breakdown Structure (ESWBS) and breaking down equipment using the Lowest Repairable Unit (LRU) method in addition to having at least 4 of the following 6 items to be qualified:

  • A college degree
  • Maintenance or computer database experience
  • Able to read and interpret engineering drawings
  • Experience in assigning Hierarchical Structure Codes (HSC)
  • Experience in creating and/or managing configuration status accounting (CSA) records.
  • Able to interpret contract data
