POSITION OVERVIEW
We are seeking a dedicated Short-Arc Welder with at least 6 months of Short-Arc (GMAW) welding experience. The candidate will weld together structural metal components as specified by blueprints, work orders, or oral instructions.
REQUIREMENTS
- Minimum of 6 months of Short-Arc (GMAW) welding experience
- Must pass a hands-on 3G/4G Short-Arc (GMAW) welding test with the 3G position welded with downhill progression and 4G position welded entirely in the overhead position
SKILLS
- Proficiency in Short-Arc (GMAW) welding techniques
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and work orders
- Knowledge of safety standards and practices related to welding
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Weld structural metal components using the Short-Arc (GMAW) welding technique
- Follow blueprints, work orders, and oral instructions to complete welding tasks
- Ensure welds meet quality standards and specifications
