They must also possess a fundamental knowledge of welding processes and techniques, along with familiarity with standard marine practices and general construction specifications.
They should excel in effective communication with colleagues, thrive in collaborative teamwork, and demonstrate the ability to plan and schedule craft-specific tasks. Furthermore, they should prioritize quality, production efficiency, and safety and environmental considerations in all work activities.
Candidates need to have hands-on experience in structural fabrication and be proficient in reading and comprehending technical drawings. Previous supervisory experience would be a valuable asset.
