Qualified individual should have at least five (5) years of assembly/prefab structural welding experience. Should also have basic knowledge of welding specific processes and techniques in addition to being familiar with standard marine practices and general specifications for construction. Must be able to communicate effectively with employees, work well with others, and have the ability to plan/schedule craft specific work tasks. Also, must have a strong focus on quality, production, safety and environmental aspects of work being performed. Experience in structural fabrication and able to read/understand drawings is required. Previous supervisory experience is a plus.
