POSITION OVERVIEW 

We are seeking a dedicated Warehouse Supervisor with at least 5 years of warehousing experience within an industrial setting. The candidate will direct activities of the warehouse department, including satellite warehouse and storage locations, as well as supervise warehouse personnel at all locations.

REQUIREMENTS 

  • Minimum of 5 years of warehousing experience within an industrial setting
  • Must be knowledgeable of material and tools used within the construction or shipbuilding industry
  • Previous supervisory experience required

SKILLS 

  • Knowledge of warehousing functions and procedures
  • Knowledge of basic computer software
  • Good communication skills

RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • Plans and organizes pickings, packings, inventories, loadouts
  • Generates necessary paperwork for warehouse personnel to pick and organize materials into their respective bins or locations
  • Supervises the functions of the warehouse department processes and personnel, including satellite warehouse and storage locations
  • Coordinates the efficient flow and tracking of materials between different warehouse and storage locations prior to materials being issued to Production
  • Plans and conducts physical counts and reconciles with data storage system
  • Organizes, plans, and performs annual physical inventory of all warehouse non-project inventory
  • Sets up and handles outgoing shipments to different physical locations as requested by departments and organizations
  • Safeguards warehouse operations and contents by establishing and monitoring security procedures
  • Maintains a clean and efficient warehouse operation by initiating, coordinating, and enforcing operation and personnel policies and procedures
  • Addresses daily personnel, equipment, and facility issues, including the development of viable solutions and remedial actions
  • Gives direction to material section leaders and/or the entire warehouse group
  • Reviews quality procedures in relation to warehouse functions
  • Makes sure that all warehouse personnel follow all Company policies and procedures, including those regarding safety
  • Ensures warehouse personnel report to work daily and on time
  • Performs all necessary training of warehouse procedures to all warehouse personnel
  • Motivates warehouse employees to result in high levels of productivity
  • Maintains a positive Company profile in supporting communication of supervisor with customers, vendors, etc.
