Title: Test Procedure Coordinator
Basic Function:
The Test Procedure Coordinator is responsible for researching, developing, and writing test program materials, including comprehensive test plans, test agendas, test plan indexes, test procedures, and test schedules. These efforts support the Quality Program in meeting customer requirements.
Qualifications:
Minimum Experience:
- Five (5) years of shipboard operational experience with a Bachelor’s degree
OR
- Eight (8) years of shipboard operational or shipyard experience performing similar duties/responsibilities.
Minimum Skills and Abilities:
- Familiarity with USCG, ABS, SOLAS, and other regulatory requirements.
- Proficiency in critical aspects of ship operational tests and inspections.
- Ability to safely operate, test, and troubleshoot all plant machinery and equipment.
- Basic knowledge of computer software, particularly Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, etc.).
- Excellent communication skills, both written and oral, with a strong customer service orientation.
- Willingness and ability to travel and spend extended periods offsite.
Essential Duties and Job Functions:
- Coordinate and conduct ship testing, trials, and delivery in accordance with the circular of requirements and regulatory body mandates.
- Communicate and coordinate with subcontractors to ensure successful completion of tests, trials, production discrepancy resolutions, and delivery.
- Provide updated status reports on testing to appropriate personnel.
- Identify test and trial requirements based on specifications, circular of requirements, and regulatory body mandates.
- Research, develop, and write test program materials to support the Quality Program in meeting customer requirements.
- Supervise and conduct testing alongside surveyors and inspectors from regulatory bodies.
- Document and track test programs on individual contracts.
- Write and update Quality procedures pertinent to the testing program as needed.
- Supervise trials to ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements.
- Prepare necessary reports to communicate progress.
- Assist the Production Quality Team (PQT) in obtaining customer representative sign-offs on all testing performed.
- Utilize schedules, planning data, and progress data as necessary.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures, including those related to employee safety, environmental policy, and the principles of the quality system.
- Perform other duties as assigned by Management.
- Work overtime as required.
- Maintain daily and punctual attendance.
