POSITION OVERVIEW
We are seeking a dedicated Quality Systems Manager with at least 10 years of Quality Management System experience in shipbuilding, manufacturing, or similar setting with a Bachelor’s degree; Engineering or Business-related degree is preferred. The candidate will manage, coordinate, and support the Company’s Quality Management System, including ISO 9001 certification, and overseeing Company policies/procedures to promote continuous improvement.
REQUIREMENTS
- Minimum of 10 years of Quality Management System experience in shipbuilding, manufacturing, or similar setting with a Bachelor’s degree; Engineering or Business-related degree is preferred
- Able to travel to multiple Company locations in Louisiana and Mississippi
- Welding manufacturing process experience preferred
SKILLS
- Proficiency in quality assurance principles, practices, and procedures
- Knowledgeable in utilizing risk assessment and opportunity processes
- Knowledgeable of continuous improvement methodologies used within the facilities
- Outstanding leader and motivator with effective verbal and written communication skills
- Able to collaborate with cross-functional teams, demonstrating flexibility, attention to detail, and a strong desire to achieve Company and project success
- Basic computer skills including knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
- Strong analytical in addition to human relations and management skills
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage the Operations Support Quality Systems group and facilitates risk analysis, problem solving, and process improvement projects throughout the Company within its various facilities
- Assist in the development, revision, and monitoring of overall Company procedures, policies, and guidelines to ensure continued compliance
- Assist in management of the Company’s quality assurance and control programs
- Manage audits in various aspects of the Company’s Quality Systems group and facilities
- Complete statistical methods, structured root cause analysis, and problem-solving methods; prepare operational and risk opportunity assessments; and monitor/measure/analyze/continuously improve metrics of the quality management system
- Manage the training program for the entire organization
- Manage the Preventive Maintenance Computer Program for the organization
- Source, develop, and manage grant proposals
