Material Control/Warehouse Manager

A Material Control/Warehouse Manager is responsible for managing and leading the material control and warehouse activities in achieving specified objectives.  Responsibilities include some of the following which is not all inclusive: identifies, develops and manages effective relationships with existing and potential suppliers of goods and services to meet established cost, quality, and delivery targets in addition to addressing any customer concerns and overseeing all warehouse operations/logistics and facility support of current and satellite locations.  Coordinates and works with various internal departments in monitoring schedule to proactively identify and address any issues to ensure targets are met.  Acts as a liaison between vendors/suppliers and project teams and also handles inventory control, reconciliation and various types of material control/warehouse discrepancies, leading customer vessel load-outs at various locations, and management of repair and maintenance/security of facilities.


The ideal candidate must have 5 years of experience in material control and warehouse management.   Candidate must have good communication skills, including written and oral communication, in order to effectively communicate with vendors, customers, and employees.  Must be knowledgeable in the materials used in the construction/repair of marine vessels and the industry’s vendor base.  Also, must have solid organization skills and have the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.   Proficient in using MS Office applications in addition to strong problem solving and analytical skills are required.
