Job Description: Intern
Basic Function: Performs semi-routine general office tasks for the department and provides clerical support as needed.
Qualifications
Minimum Experience (Years):
- Minimum of High School Diploma or GED.
Minimum Skills and Abilities:
- Currently attending or enrolled in a traditional two- or four-year college program or technical college preferred.
- Knowledge of office procedures and equipment.
- Ability to interact with company personnel.
- Good time management and critical thinking.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Basic typing skills and computer experience in using MS Office applications.
- Can operate most office equipment.
- Able to answer phones professionally.
- Experience in filing, record keeping, and data entry.
Essential Duties and Job Functions:
- Copy, file, fax, and mail distribution on a general basis.
- Answer telephones and direct calls.
- Maintain routine records.
- Manage databases and input information, data, and records.
- Compose general correspondence.
- Assist in the preparation of various reports.
- Shadow multiple office positions and train in a variety of tasks.
- Assist in preparing information and research materials.
- Perform other clerical duties in supporting the department and supervisory staff.
- Follow all company policies and procedures, including those related to employee safety, environmental policy, and the principles of our quality system.
- Perform other duties as assigned or requested by management.
- Work overtime as required.
- Report to work daily and on time.
