POSITION OVERVIEW
We are seeking a dedicated Environmental Representative with a degree in Environmental Science or related field OR at least 2 years working experience in Environmental compliance. The candidate will inspect and maintain the facility’s handling, storage, and disposal of waste; including managing the air, water, and dredge permits to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
REQUIREMENTS
- Must have a degree in Environmental Science or related field OR a minimum of 2 years working experience in Environmental compliance
- EMT, First Responder, and First Aid Training are a plus
- Oracle experience a plus
SKILLS
- General knowledge of environmental practices and procedures
- Capable of monitoring/controlling those procedures on-site
- Highly motivated, proficient in using MS Office applications (MS Excel, MS Word, etc.)
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Waste collection, storage, and transport (hazardous, non-hazardous, universal, industrial solid, special waste, tires, sewage/biosolids).
- Blasting and Painting Engineering Controls
- VOC and Fugitive Housekeeping Plan
- SPC/SPCC Plan
- SPC/SPCC inspections
- Air opacity checks and log completion
- Hazardous Waste inspections
- Secondary containment drainage logs
- Rain Gauge Report/Rainfall logs
- SWPPP inspections
- Performs sanitary unit maintenance, as applicable
- Assists facility and corporate HSE personnel in carrying out various environmental duties
- Ability to collect required water samples
