Engineering Configuration Analyst

Metairie, LA

Basic Function:

  • The Engineering Configuration Analyst supports the Configuration Manager in planning computer operations for engineering and managing CAD and other documentation in addition to developing & designing templates/standards for technical documents, etc. 



  • Develops and designs templates/standards for technical documents, correspondence, etc. for the engineering department.
  • Supports in maintaining configuration control of engineering computer hardware and software.
  • Supports in handling configuration management of engineering documents.
  • Supports in researching new software to increase production in addition to updating all computers of the newest releases of software.
  • Supports in planning engineering activities/resources.
  • Creating Company drawing standards/documents.
  • Initiates updates to engineering database to track drawings and drawing revisions.
  • Tracks and distributes drawing comments and mark-ups received from regulatory bodies.
  • Issues change notices for projects.
  • Reviews with the project engineer and appropriate discipline engineer, the regulatory body comments/resolutions to the comments and replies to the regulatory body with the appropriate comment response.



  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related filed.
  • 5 years of computer and programming background specifically in AutoDesk and/or ShipConstructor.
  • Basic knowledge of computer software, i.e. MS Word, MS Excel, MS SharePoint, etc.
  • Demonstrates good leadership abilities and possesses good written and oral communication skills.
