Machine/Hydraulic Shops
Bollinger Shipyard's Machine/Hydraulic Shops are full service machining facilities with line boring capabilities. They are equipped with computer controlled technology in the manufacture, repair and reconditioning of propeller shafts, stern tubes, bow and stern thrusters, chemical pumps, rudders and other underwater gear. Bollinger has five ABS approved welding procedures used in the manufacturing and repair of shafts.
Bollinger's Quick Repair machine shop covers over 32,000 sq. ft. and is among the largest and best equipped machine shops in the nation. It features lathes swinging 32" over the carriage, and 52' between centers and vertical and horizontal boring mills with capacities up to 18'2" in diameter.
