Since 1984, Bollinger has designed and built over 138 high-speed patrol vessels for the U.S. Coast Guard and today is building the first of the U.S. Coast Guard’s latest patrol boat, the 154-foot Sentinel Class - Fast Response Cutter. Our success designing and building high-performance patrol boats, delivered on time and on budget for the U.S. Government, is unmatched by any domestic shipyard.
Our new construction facilities are second to none. In the past five years alone, Bollinger has made significant investments in facility modernization; improving productivity through implementation of Lean manufacturing initiatives designed to further improve quality, eliminate waste, and optimize work flow arrangements to improve worker efficiency.
With over 629,000 sq. ft. of total available "under roof" processing and fabrication shops, our spacious facilities are designed to accommodate both one-off and short run series vessel construction, or we can optimize our facility for long series manufacture of multiple, complex vessel designs. Using state of the industry technologies, our highly automated materials processing capabilities and Lean processes help us to better manage costs resulting in increased value and savings for our customers.
